Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.
The school’s current Pupil Premium Strategy for 2021-2024 focuses on five areas:
- 1. Expressive and receptive vocabulary development
- 2. Phonic knowledge, reading fluency and reading stamina
- 3. Over-learning and automaticity
- 4. Gaps in prior learning for writing
- 5. Attendance
The Pupil Premium Strategy for 2021-2024 contains our aims over the next three years, as well as a detailed plan of how our funding will be spent in 2021-2022 – this document also contains a review of the previous strategy outcomes.
