PSHE Consultation

The government have published new curricula for Relationships Education and Health Education both of which will become statutory at the beginning of the next academic year – please see the attached guide ‘Understanding Relationships and Health Education in your child’s primary school: a guide for parents.’

In readiness for September 2020, the staff and governors of The Bliss Charity School developed a new policy for Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) lessons, which includes how both Relationships Education and Sex Education will be taught at our school.

As part of our consultation process on these new curricula, the draft policy was made available between 2nd December 2019 and 18th December 2019 for consultation.

All feedback from the parental engagement process will be considered by school leaders and governors when the policy of finalised.

The final version of the policy will be published on the school website by the end of January 2020.
